I am a 3rd generation native San Diegan. I am deeply rooted in my city, community, family and friends. With a heritage predominantly Mexican and Italian, were always celebrated together with lots of food, drink, music, laughter…and occasionally seasoned with a little family drama.
The time we spent together, built strong foundations of connectivity and love. It was through those experiences that I formed my own love and passion for all the aspects that make up a family and a community and believing we are stronger when we are connected.
In 2006 Cafe Fusion was founded from the belief and mission to create an energized space of positivity and nourishment, a place where people could connect in small ways. After years of building and sustaining the Cafe Fusion brand and mission I have been fortunate to team up with other like-minded individuals to form Cargo Café. Cargo Cafe founded in 2019, a collaborated extension of Café Fusion whose mission is to continue to connect with our customers by being conscientious, compassionate and mindful in all our service.

My love for coffee started when I was only a child. Born and raised in Brazil, I was introduced to coffee by my grandmother, who used to give me a latte early in the morning before school.
In 2011 I decided to get out of my comfort zone and move to San Diego. It was the beginning of the biggest adventure of my life.
After extensive research, I realized how coffee has an impact on our lives and relationships. It was when I had a click: “That’s it! I’ll have a coffee shop.”
At Cargo Cafe, I look forward to sharing my coffee world with you. Everything is made with love and care to bring joy to your daily life.
